    Hey guys,

Converting my 4agze to turbo and rebuild for track and wanted to hear everyones thoughts on box and gear options. Looking for only about 200rwkw was thinking a w55 and hilux diff?

Anyone have any experience on fitting this and where to source etc in sydney and also any other alternatives

both are fine for 200kw 4a, depending on reatios of hilux diff you may want to look for w57/58 to compliment higher diff gear ratios

search and you will find. covered a zillion times
Hilux is over kill, no decent LSD available.
F series it the biggest you will need. choice of LSD is endless.
any W box - W58 being the strongest of them all.
You will need a bell housing to fit the W box, knight parts or the like.

Thanks mate. For w55 or w58 are there kits to do the conversion to the 4agze motor or is it bolt on?

As for F series any one in particular you would suggest?

none of the W box's will bolt to any 4a motor.
you need a aftermarket bell housing, knight parts or i think dello do one.
as for F diff, you have 2 options.. YR22 tarago or mx13 corona (mx13 or mk2 corona) as they are commonly refereed to, are the same track as ae86..1410 or 1430.. cant remember..
Be prepared to pay decent money for a mx13 F diff.. if you pick one up for $1600 with LSD you doing stupidly good... i sold mine with no brakes and TRD 2 way for 2K
Yr22 is about 60mm wider, i cant remember exactly though. a simple search will find the actual widths.

The width will affect your wheel choice in offset, so do some sums before you buy wheels

none of these diff's will bolt in, either will a G series hilux.. you need mounts etc from a donor toyota diff.

if you want an LSD go F series, if you want the rear to be as light as it can be and reliable, go F series
if you dont give a crap about the above get a G series and Weld it or get a full spool ( either way its locked full time.)
Locked is rubbish IMO, but its all up to the driver.

im currently doing a w55 in my car and im looking at keeping my t series diff with a weir diff center and axle kit that is said to handle 300-350 rwhp but they don't list how much traction so the less traction the more power

tarago diff is the way to go if i didn't already have a t series but the g series from a hilux imo is shit (waiting for haters comments)

niteparts is the company that make a bellhousing i just picked one up for $550 AUD delivered the box w55 w56 w57 and w58 are all the same strength gear ratios are almost all the same exept for 5th it gets taller as you go up the scale from w55-w58 a w55 has almost the same ratios as the t50 so that what i went with (some people believe the steel plate makes the box stronger its not true when a w5x box blows they strip gears they sont rip the box in half)

depending on your flywheel you might not need to do anything but if you do you will need to get a new clutch plate i just got one for $70 AU sprung center organic and a custom tailshaft shop around for a decent price i have been quoted upto 1k for a shaft i told that #### to get fucked

there is a site sponser on here Golberg who can help you out with tracking down everything and all the info needed to do the conversion

    cheers
    mat
    the dyno pull to 300rwkw

BT20v is making 300rwkw like i said i would without nitrous so now its time for some spray and see if she will run a 10s or less

I got hilux diff and rear discs into my car cost me $400 with fully recoed calipers. I did all the mounts myself I chose hilux and locked diff mainly because it was the cheaper options, there are LSD's for hilux diff out there but doesn't bother me though.
