Either way, its more of an issue where the weight would be placed. If you set it back enough it could be good.

yeah I was half asleep when thinking about this and what did not run through my mind is the weight and how much it would be front heavy, But I was thinking I would have to push the motor back! but then I would have to mod the firewall even further and tunnel.. and I am not sure how big of task this is I know its quite a large job but if I got a lighter motor and try'ed that it might be a better outcome so I started thinking what would be just as good a the "Barra" there was VG30, 2JZ, RB26DETT, even had the idea of a LS3 or LSX 454, started thinking about v8's because there shorter meaning I would not have to majorly modify the firewall and hopefully not even touch the bulk-head...

they are a very tall motor, i recall some guy putting one into a mx73, can't remember if he ended up finishing it but that was a snug fit.

You'll have to cut the shit out of the firewall and have a custom tunnel made. Not worth the effort, you'd be way better off with a V8, LSX especially considering their minimal weight. OR you could do the smart thing and just put a hi-po SR20 in and not have to do any stupid fabrication work.

It'd be good for burnouts and drags with a Barra and that's it, have you got a trailer? Factor that into the cost as well because there's no way it'd ever be legal.

fwiw a friend did a BA xr6 turbo into an XF ute... hooked up the traction control, just a couple of sensors really wired in correctly and a switch.

4b12 rwd. Get em for about 1500 with low mileage.

Alloy, 2.4 litres, 120kw, 230nm. Quite compact. Good power to weight engine like the 2azfe but just as tricky to rwd probably.
