    VG30 single turboed or VQ30DET.

3 cyl's long but tall and potential for as much power as a stock block barra. Problem is making it fit without having to do a power bulge.

Hell, if you want big capacity turbo, use a commodore 3.8 and single turbo that. Throw a big turbo on it, make 500 hp and and you won't even feel the lag. Well, you will but not like a 500hp SR.

The Barra is a fantastic engine and so cheap but would be well and truly sticking out of the bonnet Mad Max style in a KE70. They're very tall. An LS series V8 would be a much better option. They weigh around 120kg, they're not tall and they're narrow. They're a great motor (even if they do sound shitty). I have one waiting to go into my Daimler 250. I thought about putting a Barra into my Daimler and my van but the V8 is a better option.
I see dumb people. Driving around like regular people. They don't see each other. They only see what they want to see. They don't know they're dumb.

Still overkill, drag cars are a waste of time after a while IMO, they'd get boring, the only thing that can get better after a while is the car, which costs money, whereas in circuit racing, sprints or drifting you can continually progress your own skill rather than spending money on the car to get better.

So you want it for drags and burnouts? Have you got a trailer? Seems like a stupid amount of effort and money for a car that is only really good for burnouts and drags.

But then it's your cash and your time.

    ls1 would go ok.

I dont think there would be any need for a turbo though, pretty sure it would fry in any gear already.

theres a gemini here with a turbo LS 406 [run riot] has around 1000hp, that thing is mental, seen it at the drags / burnout pad a few times and at the dyno shop.
