    Cool Barra 182 Ke70..?

    Hey guys

Just been thinking the last few hours because I am so bored, I was on Youtube looking a drag cars and i came across a 2Jz ke20 and this really got me thinking of a Barra 182 in a ke70... now if you dont know what is a Barra 182 motor is ill explain it briefly is a 4L inline 6 from a ford falcon and fairmont models BA up.. this motor N/A puts out 190+ KW and turbo'd puts out 240 to 270 kw.
I love ke70's i was looking for one few months ago but gave up that dream and got a ford fairmont, I have always loved both cars the 4L is a great strong engine and ke70's are just awesome cars.. now this imagitve car would purely be for fun and drags and sh*t i don't know if it would be possible and if it is i don't think it would just be a swap and go (Lol.) might cost a few... but im a bloke who does sh*t for fun & the expeariance. If you can fit a 2Jz in ke20 im sure you could fit a barra in a ke70? Im not sure, what do you guys think? think it would be fair cool but everyone has always told me i come up with some fair out there creations haha.

It'll be heavy, probably tall, and may be tricky to fit a suitable box in the tunnel, then there's the usual considerations of diff, struts, brakes, suspension, etc.

But anything is possible and if you enjoy doing stuff for shits and giggles go for it. It'll sure turn the rears, even NA.

OKAY! so correct me if i'm wrong here i have been trying to find out if it would be a sickkk "mod" well!
    A stock xr6 wights 1620kg with 200kw (rounded)
a stock xr6 turbo wights same amount with 245kw I have been trying to figure out power to wight and well.... i got this

    KE70 1.3L 4k = 18.5kg to 1kw
    46kw 62hp 855kg

    KE70 W/ 4L N/A + Wight = 5kg to 1kw
    200kw 268hp1000kg

    ke70 w/4L TURBO + wight = 4.08kg to 1kw
    245kw 229hp 1000kg

    xr6 = 8.1kg to 1kw
    200Kw 268hp 1620kg

    XR6 TURBO = 6.61kg to 1kw
    245 kW 329 hp 1620kg
So this thing would cream any normal ford falcon... haha, but getting traction may be a issue also getting the sh*t to fit in! hahaha

Was going to look at a barra today so i could get the length of the engine and see what modifications i would have to do to the fire wall and the tunnel, think i might be looking at pushing the fire wall back a few inch and completely re-engineering the tunnel to fit the trans... might all so have to modify the balk head... hmm

What are you using as a weight of ke70 in your maths.

I hope you are accounting for all the extra weight from the engine, uprated diff, and oversize gearbox the thing will need.

Ke70 is 920kg average stock, so Id say conservatively you would be adding 120kg with all the extra stuff you need to do.

Where did you get 855 from.

    Rego stickers usually state 920.
