Fairly sure lawson still does weld on swaybar mounts for the diff.
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?

To all you avid readers out there, some good things should be happening in the next week. I have finished my disc diff conversion and prepared some parts to be put in. Gearbox is painted. Hope to have it rolling very soon, so it can be transported to a new property with a nice big shed to work on it. Most of the parts to get it rolling are ready, except I found my coilovers are too short for the Trd struts I have, so I either need to sell them and get KYB Agx struts (the ultra short ones from a celica) or just get new coilover struts (the option I will probably go for).

Once its rolling, it should be as simple as doing the brakes and fuel, and interior. I will definitely need someone else to do the wiring.

    Got it rolling yesterday!!

7 months later. Hell. What am I doing with my life.

I put in the TRD oranges I have with some RSR 4kg springs I got, but I think the springs are too long for the shocks. When I bounce the car the shocks top out.

I also put some extended wheel studs on the front, which was probably pointless as I won't even run that wide of a wheel. They are probably needed more at the back because of the Corona disc setup.

Going to try to punch out as much as I can in January, finish all the engine bits, fuel tank, and brakes. Then it will pretty much be done, right before I go to America for a year.... not sure if I should sell :'(

Nice work dude, I'm about to make a decent start on my 86 too. Plenty of work ahead of me but well worth it. And well done for giving it a go yourself and not just paying others to do stuff, best part of trying new things is learning the skills!

Yeah DIY is great, just takes ages sometimes. I mostly do it because I'm poor as fuck

haha, yeah sometimes being poor pays off in that sense, you'll learn because you need to learn. I do it because I hate paying people to do something I could potentially do myself. Also YouTube is awesome for learning skills.
