    Default Joe's AE85 Levin Coupe

    Hey Everyone,

I've recently made the move from Brisbane to Perth, I found myself looking for a toy on this side of the country and stumbled across an immaculate AE85 Levin Coupe. I've always wanted an AE86/5, I've had a few Jap cars over the years including a KE55 that I loved to bits. I also did a ground up build on an s13 during this time and found myself missing the awesome that is anything Toyota.

She's currently being driven as a daily and the long term plan is to keep it that way, tidy up the interior, do some moderate engine work and attend as many track days as possible! I want to keep it as a super clean example of what is such an awesome car... No molestation is going to happen here...

    Current Spec List

    Interior
    - Nardi Torino Wheel
    - TRD Gear Knob
    - AE92 Levin Seats (I think)

    Exterior
    - Full Respray (Original Red 3D7)
    - GT Apex Wing
    - Kouki Park Lights
    - Kouki Fog Light Grille
    - Kouki Head Lights

    Wheels & Tyres
    - 15x8 -4 Superlights
    - 185/50/R15 Conti-Premium Contacts

    Handling
    - Tokico HTS (Red) Adjustable Short Stroke shocks (Front and Rear)
    - King Springs (Not sure which drop, not low enough either way)
    - Cusco Front Strut Brace
    - Cusco Rear Strut Brace
    - Cusco Adjustable Camber Tops
    - Cusco Brake Master Stopper
    - Whiteline 24mm Adjustable Front Sway Bar
    - Whiteline 18mm Adjustable Rear Sway Bar
    - Full Urethane (Prothane) Bushing Kit
    - Power Steering Arms

    Brakes
    - JDM Front Vented Disc Brakes
    - SSS Endless Pads
    - T-Series Rear Disc Brakes
    - Braided Brake Lines

    Drivetrain
    - Heavy Duty Clutch (Unknown but it's heavy and bites hard)
    - Braided Clutch Line
    - AJPS Gear Shift Kit
    - Standard Jap T50 Series Gearbox
    - T-Series Disc Brake Diff
    - Kaaz 1.5way LSD + TRD 4.3 Ratio Gears

    Fuel System
    - Stock

    POWA!!!
    - AE82 4AGE Bigport (Seems very fresh and runs nice)
    - K&N Intake
    - TRD 4-1 extractors
    - 2 ¼ inch Exhaust
    - TRD Ignition
    - SAFC not tuned (Seems pointless to me... Displays random engine info lol)
    - Koyo 52mm Alloy Radiator with Twin 10" Thermos
    * Ran 100.4 RWPH on the dyno

So yeah you could say it's a pretty tidy little creature. Still needs a bit of love and a few future bits and pieces that I want to change.

    To Come
    - Interior Re-Trim (Black with Red Stitching)
    - Bride Front Seats
    - Work Equip03's or SSR Longchamps (In slightly more aggressive offsets)
    - Need to find the external plastic door trims
    - GT Apex Wing painted Black
    - JDM Front Lip
    - Decent fuel delivery (Currently fuel surges like shit)
    - Engine Work (Still pondering this part... Potentially some high comp pistons, head work, cams and quads. I guess that's the standard kind of procedure these days...)

I'm hoping to get this thing out to Barbagello in the very near future for some track work. I'll probably be mainly focused on circuit stuff however I'm sure I'll end up throwing it around at a drift event or two as well. Wouldn't mind getting involved in whatever else turns up around Perth along the way!

I'm new to Perth so feel free to say hello if you see me cruising around. More than keen to get involved with the scene on this side of the world.

    More Pictures!!!

Nice car Joe. It's always good seeing super clean hachis. Have your guards been rolled? Do the wheels scrub at all?
I see dumb people. Driving around like regular people. They don't see each other. They only see what they want to see. They don't know they're dumb.

Thanks man, I'm in love with every last bit of it's 100 whp haha

Unfortunately the guards havn't been rolled, I am chasing down a set of Work Equip 03's for it with similar specs. It needs to be an inch closer to the ground all round as well which will hopefully happen in the next month or so... At the moment the wheels don't scrub at all, but it sits like 4x4 so that's no indication of whats to come lol.

I got motivated and washed it this afternoon so I figured I should take some pictures while it's beautiful... PS click on them for hi-res, they look feral linked from Photobucket...

It really does love the lens...
