I could probably have worded that better, I'm pretty sure its going to be more of an all around track car. He wants to drift but will probably use it as a general thrash car, rb25 wouldn't be my choice either, but for a bit of fun they make some power fairly cheaply.

Agee with the comments of having a moderately powered car and you will be a much better driver for it. I guess the biggest difference is you'll be allot smoother than if you had plenty of power

thanks for the comments, it was just meant to a general question (granted should have put more detail in the description of the car) im a mechanic and am building this car unusual and trying to make it something completely different hence a 25. i aiming with this car to do all types of car/track events as i can, such as drags, drifting, mallanats etc im not trying to be the best just have a bit off fun. i was just looking to see if anyone had any tips for suspension, front end etc to save me a little trial and error and maybe spending more money then i needed to. thanks for the comments its a 1985 rt142

setup the suspension how you like it, get that sorted, skid with the 22re, learn the cars characteristics then when you do an engine conversion later uprate the front springs abit to suit.

weight distribution and balance, makes or breaks a car.

as a car being a track car only, there are so many better options to start with and cheaper in the long run, but being different will do this to you so good luck.
