    Keep it as a mint daily and buy an S14 for 7000 with coiolvers and shit already

    thanks everyone for your comments. i have an idea now of what's the best way round things.

    it will be done for "lols" as was said and should be a lot off fun.

    as for a 1j i have looked into it for the money a 25 and box was a lot cheaper then everything else i could find.

    i already have to many dailys as is and this car was free and i am looking forward to the work this is going to take and the challenge off doing it.

    i will put a thread up when i get started if people would be interested in how it comes along.

    If you're really keen to do something different, put an 18Rg head on the 22R and boost that instead.

    for the up grading side there all around the same. but for the initial buy is were the price comes in. i can get a 25, box, loom, turbo, intake complete motor and gear box cheaper then what i can get a Sr or any jz motor buy its self.

    and yeah can u do that?

    It can be done, need to slot a couple of head bolt holes slightly and run external oil drains back to the sump however. Probably not a DIY job for most people though.
