Hello.
Introducing my new daily.
22REC engine
Auto
IRS
Pop up Lights
Dead straight body
90,000 original klm.
One lady owner.
Full service history into the 1990s in the book, and plenty of signs of maintenance thereafter.
Had a new radiator fitted. Its had the alternator fixed once before. Its also had new tyres fitted before going into storage in 2008.
Its got a couple of small problems I'm fixing.
The alternator still has some issue and is being fixed or replaced today. It needed a new battery, which has been provided already. Its getting new engine, ATF and diff oil. Full coolant flush and Genuine Toyota Coolant installed. Its getting a new fuel filter as the original is still installed. Its already had the tank drained and 17 litres of brand new unleaded jiggled in. The old fuel was seriously off, and there was 3/4 of a tank of the shit. Its got the factory 14 inch alloys, which Im keen to swap out for a set of 14x6.5 JDM wheels like Equips, Bombers or MK 2 or 3s or Starsharks. If anybody has some nice rims along these lines feel free to PM me.
Interior is clean, no rips or tears, seats are not crushed down, belts are in great order. Dash is uncracked, roof lining is nice. Carpet is nice too, its all just a sea of blue velour. Interestingly this car is manual rack and pinion steering. I didn't know they had many manual steer ones. Its the IRS model also. Mot going to fit an lsd or anything to it for the time being. Its just going to be my daily. The ae71 is coming off the road to be parted out in the next 2 weeks I think.
The paint on this Celica is very good. It has about 6 of those crows feet spiderweb things in the duco, but Im having my painters fix those without repainting the whole thing, they should be able to touch it up and buff it for me to really show off how straight this thing is.
Enjoy:

It really doesn't bother me that its an auto. This car is intended to be more life friendly. Drive-thru ready and lazy and comfortable. It does all that in spades with an auto. I hate them for a drivers car but this is just a cruiser. Plus the 22re makes a fat load of torque and it hauls along well with the 3 speed.
Its now registered and on the road. I have driven it, and engine, tranny and diff are silky. Brakes have plenty of life left and show signs of recent service (new PBR wheel cylinders in the rear). No squeaks and noises from them, which is great for a barn find car. The shoclys all work, suspension is quiet, rack and pinion seems fine, however as with any Toyota, there is a small amount of play in the left side rack bush. Thats it. Its bloody immaculate. Horn works, all lights work, tacho, odometer and speedo work, handbrake is working awesome, I just cannot fault it.
Im in love.
Was watching this! So tidy such a good buy
I knew someone had to see it.
Just cleaned the glass. Needs a good clean and air out. Ill detail the engine compartment when the sun is up. I noticed its missing the little badge on the B pillar on the passenger side, if any of you other ra65 owners have a spare.
Looks good, dude.
Some of those vacuum lines look like they could be replaced though. Jealous of your interior being mint though. Also, if you want a dash mat, SCA can order them in. I think they were $60-70 from memory.
PS: Advan A3As would look super cool.
