Ae86 Drivingclub - Toyota AE86 Car Club where AE86 | KE70 | Toyota 86 / GT86 | Subaru BRZ | Scion FRS owners
Had a few faults to fix along the way
Exhaust hanger broken,Headlamps stay on,retaining plate missing from rear caliper,Headlamps broken, bolt missing from anti roll bar,Fans not working
But the engine and gearbox were good and it drives well,I added coil overs and have uprated bushes for the anti roll bar but I do not think it needs a lot else I have a Cusco cage to go in as well lucky for us we do not have to engineer cars over here just tell the insurance company of any changes and that was cheap as it is a classic car now.
Will get the bonnet and the interior floor painted properly next.
Only driven the car a few times but it is fast feels the same as my R32GTR the difference being I will not take this car out in the wet
Car had its first outing to a Japanese car meet at our local pub some good reviews considering I have not washed the car since import let alone polish anything
Ran the Sprinter at Santa Pod the weekend not bad on 195 road tyres
This car now belongs to one of my friends here in Ireland.
Does anyone know the history of it since the SR conversion or at least who used to own it.
Hello I imported the car into the UK I brought it from Sleeper on here you wont be able to contact him as on the ban list for taking the rear wheels, gauges and steering wheel off the car before shipping it to me. His part in the car was very limited other than to fit the big wheels, I dont think he would have been able to drive it as it had a couple of electrical problems which would have stopped him.
The builder of the car was Superman 7 I did try to get hold of him once but no reply.
There are a few pictures on here of the car with a really naff set of wheels a worse body kit (not in this picture) and a interior like someting out of a horror movie. Nearly forgot the Mad Max bonnet scoop how could I do that
