    Default my 224 hp 16v

    hey guys,
    just thought id share this with you, i just recently finished building my new engine from the ground up here are some specs

    -7 rib block (new old stock from toyota)
    -bigport head with major porting (was stripped acid bathed shot peened cracktested etc.)
    - 3mm oversized TRD intake valves and 2mm oversize exhaust valves
    -new valve guides
    - TODA undershim bucket kit and valve springs
    - TODA 304 deg intake and exhaust cams with 11.8mm lift
    - TODA adjustable cam gears
    - TODA Forged high comp pistons (with shaved head and .5mm TRD gasket its at about 12.1 : 1 CR
    - ARGO 4140 Forged conrods
    - GZE crank crack tested and X-rayed with 2.4 kg shaved, and balanced for 12,000rpm
    - ACL race bearings
    - TODA Chromolly flywheel and clutch
    - TRD oil pump with a remote oil cooler
    - Custom mandrel bent tuned length 4-1 headers to 2.5" collector (black heat wrapped)
    - DCOE Weber 45 side draught carbies with anodized black trumpets

    im sure there's a few things ive missed but anyway, engine made 224 flywheel hp at 11,400 RPM on the engine dyno

    yeh man! im stoked i finally finished it, it took me like 3 hours because mum wouldnt let me play until i'd finished dinner

    Nice specs.
    Did Lego Garage do most the work?
    I used to use them alot when I was younger.
    Are you worried about the longevity of the engine, especially since you used such lightweight materials?

    what gearbox will you be using? will a standard t50 be up to the task.

    how did you fit vtec to the toyota engine?
