kkkkkk so, some bearing has seized. im pretty sure its the input shaft bearing, been searching and searching and cant get any proper part numbers.
does anyone know if americans call input shaft bearings throwout bearings?

Pretty sure throw out is same as thrust bearing, but I am no mechanic
I think your right ben. It has to be the input shaft bearing as the previous owner said it was worn.
Trouble is finding the part number.
Searching around the web just makes stuff more confusing, reports of 88 and 89 models having different spline counts by one tooth, this cars build date is late 88 but was sold as an 89.
Might just have to take out the old and measure it up.

I think they were sold here from 89-91, but I only know 3 people in melb with civic wagons.
James has seen 2 others.
There has to be more then 6 left in victoria.
