    Thanks all!

Have spent the last couple days trying to work out what bolts go where and piecing it together a little.
Will have to sort something out for my top water outlet, as it fouls on the carb manifold.

Cars in Japan were next level. Every one of them was 110%
Yep, the US coupe had an IRS conversion.

The local were very interested in the Maloo ute. "Eurl-Ess-Ay?" "supa-cha-ja-no?"

Prepping to be able to drop the engine in and be on my merry way!

The HKS headers I had were originally 16v, made to fit a 20v. So I had to modify the end tab to make them fit a 16v again. Used a spare head I have which made it super easy.

Cut a washer to bring it up the the correct height so it's all flush.

Top ground back - that'll do! Front is almost perfectly flat! Was pretty important so I don't have exhaust leaks lol.

Another small hurdle I came across was the way the Greddy oil cooler unit mounted. I didn't have the right fitting for it. I had the OEM one, and the supplied Greddy one.

I could double stack the OEM plate underneath it, but had almost zero exhaust clearance for filter changes. (not to mention heating my oil)

Well - Sam Qu to the rescue. This little piece did the trick perfectly! I didn't know if it would or not, so took a stab at it.

Exciting day today! ENGINE IS IN! (and gearbox, and tailshaft)
Thanks a million to James (Jimmee1990) for his help today

One of my big concerns was clearance for carbs against the booster - no worries at all with the Kameari manifold. Redline fouls the booster.

SoI've been setting up my water system on the car as the image below follows:

This is to retain all the smallport/AE92 items. Saves a bit of money with things I already have.
I came across an issue though. The Kameari manifold sits forward and fouls on the water outlet.
If I used a redline manifold. It will foul on the booster. Pics below without being bolted down (as you can't)

The Kameari one in the kit would be around $150 landed. But I'm 90% sure it doesn't have provisions for the alternator bracket. Add $200 setting a RWD alternator up.

Cut, grind, fit, weld. Problem solved. I can relocate the temp sensor and run the outlet out of the threaded hole instead. Nice.

Lots of self-replying here! Although it is a build diary!
Popped both carbs on at once and my extractors just to check for clearance on everything before I go ahead and get a few more things. Glad I did.

    Isn't it beautiful?

JDM extractors hitting on the ADM clutch slave.
Going to see if I can get a different brand slave cylinder to be able to fit a banjo bolt on and run one of Sam Qu's clutch lines around the extractors.

Sweet pics! So the only fouling is the extractors on the clutch slave and the intake manifold on the water outlet?

As far as I know, and hope that's it!

Solved my top water outlet issue.
Got a mate of a mate to weld that plate in (I don't have/know how to TIG), fused really well with the plate so hopefully it's all good.
That's now solved my alternator mounting issue as well as fouling.
I've then put an adapter in the end of the outlet and I'll run what I believe is part of the heater system into that, and relocate the temp sensor if I need to - but probably won't because of carbs.

Awesome! I can smell the fuel just looking at those carby pics!

I like how you painted the alternator black too. They are always bright silver, hey?
