    Default Mx73 Cressida

Don't know how rare these are over on ya'lls side of the pond, but I've got an 85 Cressida, factory manual trans, with a 7m swap. Its also a factory TEMS car too! I've heard there were only about 500 manual cressidas imported to the states, so finding one is near impossible. Already got a VVTi 2jzge to go in, just waiting to finish my 86 before I tear this one down.

Very rare to find a manual one here too, never seen that suspension switch, notice a difference between the two settings?

Nah. I probably would have 30 years ago, but now its got non TEMS shocks in the rear and old crappy stock ones in the front. The replacement adjustable shocks are around $1000 for all four. Fuck that. It basically uses a stepper motor that mounts on top of the shock that tightens the suspension under load, or at highway speeds. We have kinda though about modifying them to fit an adjustable coilover though.

Yea I was in the market for a Lexus LS400 for my commute to work. Driving my 86 50miles round trip to and from work 5 days a week was getting brutal and I really wanted a nice daily. Saw this online for sale for parts, and asked the guy if he'd sell it whole. $900 later im towing my manual Cressida back to the shop. we threw in a 7m and its been a love story ever since. Eq doesnt work though. The radio is bad, and so is every one i've tried to replace it with haha.

Seeing these x73's makes me wish I did the 1j into the 73 instead of 83.
