currently looking in to D1NZ, but have a lot of other events to look in to also. I have sussed out a few prices on sending containers, i would be going halves with a mate which is about 6k return so 3k each, still have allot to sort out before then though.

    Cool

OK so its update time again, and have i been busy!

first of all last month i entered DCA round 2, and only got a couple laps in before breaking something so didn't end up qualifying as i didn't want to risk damaging anything.

(don't worry i have got some new gangster fender mirrors now!)

it was burning a bit of extra something out of the exhaust that it shouldn't have been and this was a small flame

then the rebuild began, ADGP round 1 is in Perth on the 10-12th of October so i had a lot of work cut out for me.

basically the corolla was starting to fall apart at the seams in front of the struts so i had to tube the front, now i'm not the biggest fan of this type of open tub but in this case it should work well and keep engine bay temps down alot!

the amount of hours to go in to doing this and getting everything sitting perfect is crazy! to go with that i work 12 hour shifts on a 24/7 roster which means very little sleep so i can get it done in time.

also working this roster means there's no getting to a shop while its open so i pretty much have to order everything off the net and waiting for parts is the worst!
    A few more pics..

whole front piece is removable, also front bar is on slipper joints

all new front panels (with super wide front guards) inc some new under bonnet art which is getting done at the moment

got my turbo checked out and a new front housing with a bend welded on to it as well as some fittings welded on my rocker cover

also made some fancy bits, front splitter to mount under the current front lip (wont do anything but looks cool) and a rear "diffuser" the idea behind this was to act more like a wing mounted under the car, beacuse i couldnt come up with an idea for a wing to sit on the boot that would work and look good. It will sit about 30mm below the car at the rear with some angle on it to hopefully create abit of down force, i'm trying to squeeze every bit of grip and speed out of these little 15 inch tyres.

I would also like to thank Chris from Shockworks for the hook up and helping me out this season!

recessed clutch master for an extra bit of clearance

hidden windscreen wiper motor (a bit rough but works a treat)

and while i was at it and like spending money, +1 bosch 044 = 3 fuel pumps, should be no running out of fuel now

Also got my T3 big brake kit, turned out pretty good as when i bought my kit (280mm) they were out of stock of that kit and this is their new 300mm kit so they gave me a free upgrade so it was under $1000 by the time it got here, holy shit these brakes are massive, test fit under 15 inch rotas.

engine bay was done, straight to paint got it back a day later to start re-assemble. the paint is black with a gold flake but looks rainbow in the sun.

my new 3ltr catch can i made turned out killa too.

will be checking my motor over tomorrow and chucking that back in, so another week and it should be all finished and back on the dyno for a check before it goes on the truck in 2 weeks from today
