The bolts I generally just use grade 8.8, unless it's something not carrying any real load then anything will do. The interior clips can be a pain, look for people stripping cars and buy them off them would be the easiest.
Hi all. Is there a way to tell if a diff is zenki or kouki from the physical appearance (or do you have to open)
Also if I want to buy bolts for the fuel tank and other parts, is their a certain grade of "high tensile bolts"? That I need. And is there any place to buy the interior clips.
Sorry for all the noob questions. But first time attempting something like this on a bare shell
Cheers

You need to pull an axle out to be sure if you've got a zenki or kouki diff. Measure the splines and check against the various photos on the net.
For most bolts it's entirely irrelevant what grade bolts you use. However some, like the ones attaching suspension components, are important to have strong. In general I like to use factory bolts I've scrounged from wrecks over the years, especially since they have the "right" finish, thread pitch and head size. Bolted.com.au also sells this style of bolt new.
Trim clips can surely be bought somewhere new (eBay??), but I've never found a good source myself.
