Default GOLDMEMBER--Does my wagon make you horny baby? does it?

After many months of searching I've finally found my first car...

a 82 ke70 wagon with a blown headgasket, leaking rear drum, no handbrake cable and a couple of little dings in the bodywork but it has hardly any rust in it.

The guy who owned it had it stored out the back of a workshop and my dad saw it there when he went there to drop something off, I picked it up the next day for $750 with 6 months rego.

About two days later I saw a add on gumtree for a 84 corolla wagon with no pictures, I organised to have a look at it that day and got it for $200 with the only things wrong with it being badly banged up on the rear left arch area and a leaking drum aswell. I then switched the good parts from the slant front into the flat front, the seats, rear lenses, hatch dampers. etc

Lools good, with the coil overs it's all about budget and experience, if you don't have much to spend, keep it simple and and a sleeve kit on your struts, if you have a bit more cash and want something nice get some aftermarket coils *cough* shockworks *cough*

is it just my computer or are all the images I put up really small? and thanks for the reply drift kid, I think I will end up with a sleeve kit, what struts should I be looking at getting to make into coilovers?

    Good purchase.

Putting the 4age in , the quickest / simplest way is to buy mounts off jordo that bolt the 4age into the ke70 xmember, buy a gearbox xmember off the ae71.

You'll need the hydraulic peddle box too, which can be modified by the same guy above or buy an ae71 one. Clutch master / slave is available from AJPS cheap.

After that you have to tackle the wiring, which is confusing at first but not overly difficult. I might have some exchange looms available in a few weeks and I have a couple of FWD cut n shut manifolds too.

Being a wagon, i'm not 100% sure on the tailshaft choice

cheers for the info and the link matt, ill defiantly look into that when the time comes

also is there any difference between adm and jdm a86 struts? as a pair of bare 86 struts have come up for sale locally for under $90 and im considering getting them to turn into coilovers?

Price is about right for struts, expect to pay 200 for hubs though. Better off starting with RA40 or XT130 for price, stub axle size and brakes.

Well its been a long time between posts and im hoping to update this more frequently as I progress.
ive sold the red wagon on and bought all the usual ke70 bits as you can see in the updated first post, ive also bought a manual ae71 and twincam ae82 so will hopefully be doing the conversion pretty soon.
