    Default Swamp Coupe

Most of you will have seen this before. I used to have a thread on here before the move, but its about time I made a new one.

Purchased this car in Brisbane uncomplied in 2006. It was filthy and illegally modded, but otherwise in good running order. Only minor rust around the boot seal and rear seams. After cyclone Larry, I had it trucked up to my swamp lair near Cairns and took my time getting it roadworthy and registered. Since then its been my daily transport, and I've used it for everything from weekend mountain drives and chauffeuring VIP's, to stadium drift and motorkhanas.

    Specs:

    - 1986 GT Apex Trueno coupe (kouki)
    - Climate control, power windows & mirrors
    - Luxurious velour interior (official fabric of Zapp Brannigan)
    - Rear seats removed, handmade rear trim panels
    - Power steering replaced with manual GTV rack
    - Satnav, TV & hands free built in (not standard features in 1986!)
    - Raybrig headlights & Hella 200W driving lights

    Engine & Drivetrain:

    - Internally stock bigport (made 99.7 rwhp on the dyno)
    - Kaizen TRD copy extractors
    - Frankensteinian 2.25-2.5-2.25 exhaust with cat, resonator & high flow muffler
    - Excedy heavy duty clutch
    - T50 with TRD short shift kit (noisy)
    - Disc brake rear end with 4.3 and TRD 2-way LSD (noisy)
    - Slotted discs with Endless Vita Nuova pads

    Suspension:

    - Coilover front AE86 struts with unknown adjustable shock inserts and ~8kg springs
    - Camber tops
    - 6kg rear springs and TRD 8 way adjustable short stroke shocks
    - Adjustable rear swaybar with rose jointed end links (noisy)
    - T3 traction brackets
    - Stock panhard rod
    - New nolethane bushes throughout
    - Superpro steering rack bushes
    - Front and rear strut braces
    - Ultra Racing fender braces

    Wheels & Tyres:

    - 15" Advan Oni 7.5" +2
    - Slightly stretched 195 50 R15 Bridgestone RE001 Adrenalins
    - Fit under stock guards if rolled

    Plans:

    - Angrier smallport with quads
    - Full body restoration
    - Enjoy

Incorrect! 15 is the optimal size!

On a sprinter I wouldn't use anything larger or smaller than that. Perfect in my eyes.

    I wash it.

Not quite as good in real life. The clearcoat on the roof and bonnet is dying.
