    Default Katrina Caldina; the anti-sprinter

So after having some dramas with the insurance on my 86 and then it spinning a conrod bearing, I needed to find a daily and fast. The only requirements i had were not deathly slow, had to be auto (so my gf could drive it) and preferably a wagon so I ended up with this.

It's a '97 Caldina GT-T turbo, only mods on it are a set of lowish Tein (I think) springs, a boost gauge and a cat back exhaust. In the first week I hit three rabbits (because bad things always have to come in threes...!) which smashed off the factory front lip pieces, so I hit the wreckers and made an Accord front lip fit.

The wheels it has on it are horrible 15" things and have the wrong size tyres on them anyway, but turns out dad has two sets of wheels stashed under the house off his old Cressida so deciding which I like better.

    OR

Picking up a set of 5x100 to 5x114.3 spacers tonight to put them on, then future mods will probably be a set of coilovers when the shocks all die from the springs and maybe a boost controller and an auto cooler. If anyone has any experiences with these things feel free to post them up here, always good to have more info and Caldina forums keep rejecting my applications?

I thought so too when I pulled them out, but they're too narrow. R32 GTS-T I think

    Yay. Such a bargain.
Cheap cars are the best. What happened with insurance on the 86?

Apparently the car is too modified and too high a risk of having a claim, so refused to ensure me. So thanks everyone for crashing your 86's all the time. Turns out the R32 wheels won't fit in the guards with the adapter spacers, so Mazda ones it is. Drives so much nicer it hasn't got 65 series profile tyres on it now too.

Fixed up all the speed holes that were left after removing the shitty nudge bar, spent a bit of extra effort making sure the bog was perfectly smooth and not noticeable. As soon as I painted it and it dried everything shrunk underneath, so looks like shit again. Oh well, just the daily so it can stay that way for now.

Can't decide whether I like the lip better in black or matching white, what do you guys think?

I like the white, and next time use a good hi fill primer to cover the coarse bog
