Default KE70 4K ALT Wiring to 4AGE ALT Wiring

Motor / part in question - 4K Alternator wiring

Occurs/started when (if applicable)- Converting to A Series ALT wiring

I thought I had this sussed, but now not to sure.

2 Pin Plug that comes from Fuse box and goes to ALT
Thick White wire = Batt Terminal.
Yellow / White wire that come from fuse box = Meh?

Is the yellow white wire for the dash lamp?
Or is it 12v IGN Sense wire?

Can someone point this out please.
Or do I just make a new run direct to the dash from new A series Alt?
I want the dash light to work.

Reason I ask = battery dead flat

Below pictured is 4A "Oval" style Alt plug i've got.
Do I have the wire's correctly labelled.

What you have said is correct.

Yellow wire is for charge light
White wire is for 12v constant
    Red is for ignition power

Run the wires from the alternator along the bottom of the radiator panel and join up to near the fuse box. You can pick up ignition power from behind the washer bottle. I usually join the white wire into the thicker battery cable and run the light back to near the fuse box.

The yellow / white wire is the alternator charge light that goes to the dash. Earth it out and the light on the dash should come on.

    Thats what I'm looking for
KE70 yellow white is Alt Charge light.

Does not putting Sense wire to Batt terminal constant create the ability to over charge Battery?

Umm i wouldn't think so... Toyota did it on either bigport / smallport looms I can't remember which one.

If anything it undercharges it under load as you aren't measuring the battery voltage with the voltage drop due to load of things on the circuit.

I've done it on dozens of cars without any issues.

Default KE70 4K stock charge wire size/amp rating vs AE111 4AGE Blacktop stock charge wiring size/amp rating

Bumping up this old thread up, have another question about KE70 4K stock charge wire size/amp rating vs AE111 4AGE Blacktop stock charge wiring size/amp rating.

    I figure I have 2 options here.
Run the standard 4K Alternator charge wire with AE111 Alternator and hope for the best
    Or
    Upgrade

Below is picture of Blacktop stock charge wiring.

Toyota has used twin 6mm(I think) and i believe the Alternator amp output is 70amp(quick google search said this).

Here you can see where the stock KE70 Alternator charge wiring is crimp joined to main battery terminal wiring.
I believe the stock 4K Alternator out put is only single 6mm and is rated at 40amp.

I don't want to cook the stock 40Amp wiring.
What I want to do is upgrade Alternator charge wire size to decent size that can handle the higher ouput, but in doing so I want to bypass the fuse box altogether, and just connect (through fuse) straight to + Battery terminal.

If I do this can it cause issue?

I'll just terminate the factory Toyota 4K Alternator wiring run, clean it up, and with whats left, connect to +battery terminal? That way the fuse box is still getting main power.
like it all comes form the same place, but seems more logical (and safer) to do it this way, rather than run risk of cooking something.....
