If you dont mind me asking, where did buy it from? A shop in Japan or import company?

    Thanks

No dramas at all, I looked around a few of the importers and got Iron Chef Imports in the end to look and go through the motions with.

They have been good, found what I was looking for based on specs, budget and end goal.
Troy from ICI helped alot with also getting some work done on it there too.

I hear from people positive and negative things about ICI, but overall they have been good to me.
My only thing would be that they stay in communication a little more but that is prob just nit picking.

They have a Levin Coupe for sale there too that I have been dancing around but as yet I have not bought it out of pure self control.
Currently looking at some American cars with the goal of bringing something from over there back too, I love the Hachi's don't get me wrong but I also love V8's and styled lines from that end of the sticks.

David, do you know where the most reasonable priced Avon's are? Being in SA you wont know in Brisbane I spose.
Am going to ask the MG Car Club guys when I am at the next hillclimb. The QLD Champs are coming up soon and a test n tune pre event (hopefully I can run at that if everything is sorted in time).

With the American stuff, I've grown up in that field, haha.
One of my dad's close friends imports American stuff at least once every couple of months. He usually uses a guy called David King. I Believe his company is called "American Used" and he is based in Tyabb, VIC.

We've got a '77 Trans Am and a '63 Catalina. Previously had a '69 Firebird. All were found locally. There's HEAPS of American stuff locally - I'd do your research here before committing to importing anything. Unless you're after something really specific. Ask around car clubs, etc. There's always one bloke with 20 cars in his back yard, haha.

    Nice purchase anyway!

Thanks Jarrad, looking for a 68 mustang for resto so they are becoming harder to find in the "for resto" condition in Aus now days.

I have found one in the states for $11k USD which after shipping etc would prob come out at around the 15-16k mark landed once everything is paid out customs wise, not too bad.

That hatchi lands tomorrow! After a few delays regarding Aust Customs paperwork, the beast got on the next boat....
So tomorrow arvo it finally smells some Aussie asphalt for the first time, I hope to get it mid to late next week after all the customs stuff is sorted.

It's in there somewhere! Port Security was on me pretty quick though about taking photos of the boat and being there.
After telling them the hatchi was in there, they were cool about it and let me hang around for another 20mins or so.

And thanks David, will look at goronleven's offerings. Cheers.

Still waiting to get it out of jail!
The customs guys still have it, maybe later this week I am hoping.

Pics to come once the feds let her go.

Customs as said got a little skittish about me being at the port to see it driven off the boat.
So I got to look at the boat but not stay long enough to see the guy driving/drifting it out to be parked lol.
