this looks good but I can get a t18 diff cheaply and easily (at mates house. and its along way to melburn etc..) so I am thinking of restoring a t18 rear diff with a new TRD 1.5 0r 2 way diff and buying a blacktop and gearbox, fuel pump, radiator thermo fan and other bits for conversion. would an engineer pass this setup with original brakes and wheels (13 inch wheels ADM brakes, T-18 Rear drums) or do I need to budget for jap spec brakes and some bigger wheels to clear them.(NSW rego)

No idea about engineering. My car is still here at the moment, let me know if you change your mind. Cheers

agree in principle. it would have saved me heaps 5 or even 3 years ago but...now that the car is complete (all the good bits on the broken car are already replaced, I cant really think of anything on it except jdm brakes that I want or need)( I need a workshop.)...it needs motor, computer, gearbox, driveshaft and diff upgrades only....leaning towards
4agze custom supercharger installation.... fully built... I think my wheels might clear jdm brakes. really enjoying the handling, a few people have said they like it, even offered to buy it, and its been fun.
the front end has all new superpro bushings, 4 new standard kyb shocks. some kids in grafton got upset at me cause they saw it covered in mud
    .it washed off good though.

yeah that was me, thanks, I just painted the trim black and put the cheapest set of fog lights I could find on it. mostly people didn't even notice it much till I put the wheels on it.
interior needs a bit of work, needs window tint........front lip spoiler, and side skirts.

so the 4ac has an oil leak, behind timing cover and I am sick of spending coin on a 4ac. so I am getting a 4agze a.s.a.p. if anyone has suggestions feel free to pm me (suggestions for where to find a good complete 4agze half cut or low km motor which one will be easier/better) .how hard and or expensive will it be to mount a bullet whipple screw compressor to a 4agze (I'm not after huge power outputs but response and acceleration).I am after something like this (video link), basically. but with a whipple screw compressor (not sure why,? supercharger whine/noise?) I do not wish to modify the bonnet at all.(no tower of supercharger parts) I can change to a centrifugal s.c. if I have to, but prefer the idea of positive displacement.I don't want to spend a fortune or for it to be totally budget/shit and it has to still be able to be driven in traffic etc. any ideas or input will be much appreciated. anyone doing or done something similar?

also big ups to smanbjerg. well done(see video/s)
