Default Ae82 front guards onto rear of ae86.

Hey guys I'm needing to widen my rear guards and I've heard ae82 front guards work to line up the bumper hole in the right place. Just wondering if anyone has done it or has any suggestions on what to do/what not to do

Posting for updates, also want to do. Using my imagination you'd just have to be doing the RHF guard on LHR and vice versa?

    Yep ^
I've heard before that using ae82 front guards on ae86 rear works
The front arch profile of an 82 looks very similar to 86. Keen to see home it goes

Luke when you did yours who did them for you?
Did they do as pecky said and put left on right and right on left?
Does the attachment point for the rear bar still line up at the same point?

I'm pretty certain Dimitri said you put left front on right rear and vice versa. He did it quite a few times

My mate did them for me. and yes and yes. they line up pretty much perfectly. the LHR on the ae82 guard goes on the RHR of the ae86 and same with the other side.

Not sure on ae82, looking at images it looks pretty similar.
    Ke70/AE71 are 100% for it.

Split quarter, weld in strip on inner guard.
Fit up and under, weld across the join.

Clean up weld - fibrefill bog. Then normal bog.
Looks like a lot more than it is.

By rear bar attachment, I assume you mean the one at the corner of the guard, not in the lower panel. While your there welding and filling it isn't much to add a small piece in/drill a hole.
