Nice man, looks good. Hows daily driving with the 4.7's?
Hey dudes, just got home internet so decided to do a build thread, so here it is.
my 1983 slant front ke70.
I bought the car as a resprayed shell off a guy named Collin (who I'm guessing is on here?) from way out west a few years ago with plans of putting a 4a in it of some kind.
I slowly gathered all my bits, but like most, got side tracked and got lazy with it. I finally found a motor in my local area advertised as a silvertop 20v with haltech ecu from a hillclimb car.
Turns out it had a loom and a Haltech E6k with it. I bought the motor for $850 and gave it to my mate (Pen15) to pull it down and clean it up.
I get a call a few days later saying the motor had big wear in the bore and needed to be taken to final size (82mm)((40Thou oversize) so we decided forged pistons were the go.
After going with Wiseco forged pistons we added ARP rod bolts and I also scored a line hone from his boss haha.. We assembled it not long after with a genuine Toyota gasket Kit from Sam Q as well as coil adapter, rear dizzy blank and Yaris coils from Sam also. Few months earlier I had bought RS Chita rwd water conversion gear so that went one also. I used an Xtreme clutch and flywheel and a JDM bellhousing for my t50. A year prior I also bought a drum brake T series with a trd 2 way inside so that was fitted also.
The car was tuned at Micks Motorsport and made 94.5KW ATW on a Haltech Sprint 500.
Its been a year since I regoed it with the 20v and its been my daily car ever since. Since rego I have 4.77 crown and pinion gears from Weir in the US and a bride Brix seat and a few gauges, a Kamei lip, heat wrapped the headers and 70EADC plates lol..
I'll try to keep this updated as I progress,
Cheers!

4.7's in a daily you wouldn't love life all too much, but if u are only doing short distances it wouldn't be so bad
