1985 Corolla Levin Notchback facelift
current:
Silvertop 20V
Link G4 Storm
Master Power 0.27 A/R
W55 box
hilux LSD
440cc injectors
Nissan VQ25DE coilpacks
Swapping out for:
stock standard 20V ST
new waterpump timing belt main seal etc.
Coby extractors
Open ITB's
I'm going for a reliable daily set up. I want it to be able to be turned on and off easily throughout the day.
Questions:
What injectors to run?
Anything else worth changing while engine is out?
Is there any special plumbing I need to do under the throttles that would be different in an N/A set up?
I already bought a genuine Toyota waterpump but I matched it with the new engine's one, do I need a RWD waterpump?
Thinking about putting some BT camshafts in there before it gets tuned
Also thinking about replacing the alloy radiator with a standard one
It also doesn't have a fan switch, or anywhere to put one in, thinking about getting a plug welded in for one? would it go on the top radiator hose or by the thermostat housing?
And also, does anyone know if there is a thread on dash wiring, my tachometer doesn't work atm but apparently one of the ouputs on the Link is set up for it, or can I wire up one manually to the coil loom or something?
The inside of the engine is a little bit mucky, best way to flush it out? or best chemical
Apparently Brendan Duncker (Niteparts/Convert Motorsport) revved his stock ST to 9,000 RPM on a daily basis. Should be fine?
Who is available in Auckland (NZ) for tuning? Who are my options?
Let me know your thoughts on this.
Also, a lot of the turbo bits will be for sale after, if anyone is interested.
UPDATE
Those throttles look pretty blaaack
