Bays 86% done
Need to weld up the a/c holes & do some more sanding
Using 3mm or so sheet metal to plug the larger holes
The two side holes (where the headlight loom used to go) have been all welded & needs further sanding
After that prime & finally paint!
Going to be white
Been looking through the different shades at work & want the most vibrant white i can find
was thinking toyota 058
Also going to touch up a few nicks & blemishes on the body
Corners of the bonnet, around the rear number plate & on one of the body mouldings
Have a pic of the colour but can work out what the paint code is :s
if worst comes to worst i'll match it up with a colour chart & get as close as i can

Slightly modified the passenger bride seat rail
Its a side mount rail but i bottom mounted it
Had to cut down the lever to clear the seat, if not it wouldnt go back & forward
Also scratches up the seat
Will put a grommet/ plastic cap on the ends to tidy it up & prevent sore fingers
Bay update: sprayed some filler down, the firewall panel & corners of the strut towers are really difficut
also blending in the bottom part & behind the towers
Sq engineering delivered the goods today!

Gearbox spacer (designed to tilt the engine a few degrees to allow more room for trumpets)
Gave the front bar a paint up too, was already fine but i'm overly fussy so tidied it up
Also polished the indicators with different grit wet n dry, compound then polish
Painted the mirrors satin black too
Had a few nasty runs from the old paint so i sanded it back, primed & painted
Didn't mind the colour coded mirrors but always hated the small paint chips all over them
Feel like it gives a nice contrast too
Had the day to myself so got busy
Took the rear bumper off to paint up, have some nice rear pods lined up so have to paint it the same shade
Also inspected for rust, a little surface rust so i was pretty happy
Small amounts around the hatch, body part & door jams/ wells
Will be removed & painted orange to match
Going to get new seals too
Been working on the bay ALOT
Almost done!
A few minor bits to go but im so happy on how its looking
hours upon hours of hard work is paying off!
After that lay down some primer & ready to paint
Paint codes 038 or 041 which are ae86 factory whites are what im thinking
more 041 because its more crisp
Not worrying about 058 anymore, not as vibrant as i wanted

Rx7 caliper rebuild kit
Seals werent too bad but thought it wouldnt hurt to get new ones
Started on one side but had trouble getting the piston out
Might need to tackle it from a different approach
Then some OEM goodies!!!

Fitted up the hatch cover, looks alot better now
Started giving the lip a go, came with these 'bolts' dunno there called
been reading that theres a discontinued bracket thats designed for it
might make something up or figure out another way
want it to look as factory as it can be
zero zipties :p

Finally the front end looks great!
looking into clear indicator lights - currently have some sourced
also funfree eyelids
