    Lightbulb Travis's 4agte Ae86 drift car

    Hey guys.

You might recognize this car as jason murray's (ae86 slide) old ae86.I swapped my jzx100 for it.

What it had when i got it:

Ive built this car over the last 4 years with the intention of having a reliable drift car. Everything was done properly, I have always planned on keeping the car so nothing was done cheap. My work has changed and I'm rarely home to go to events. It breaks my heart to sell but something with rego would be a lot more practical for me.

There really is nothing more to do to the car, it is a complete track ready car with trailer and wheels/tyres to go with it. The car could be registered (have all compliance plates etc) but would require work to do so. The car has seen 10 track days since full build.

    Specs are:

    What it looked like

So I did all oil changes when i got it. Changed plugs etc. I had a look over the car and fixed up a couple of things i could see, oil drain hose and a few wiring things. Managed to get std tacho working.

Then it was off to raliegh's first matsuri of 2015. Was there with Max (maxhag) off these forums and also Gareth (gaz20v).

My first ever time driving the ae86 was driving it off the trailer at raliegh. plus it was my second time drifting ever lol.

Car felt great, everything going smoothly for about 3 laps. Gave it a decent kick around the sweeper and BANG...... great. car fell to the ground passenger real and i was tyre on gaurd.

Got towed to pits with the tractor.

Found the weld for the diff mount had broken off. perfect.

Borrowed the mig welder at raliegh, got help off mate gareth to tack it in place then welded it up.

1 hour later I was back out there kicking

Had a good rest of the weekend, found some things I wanted to change, hit a tyre wall. good weekend.

    Pics from raliegh

Heres a pic of maxhag giving it a go

    Cheers!

    Cool

Next was Queensland Raceway Autumn Matsuri 2015

I had about 3 weeks in between raliegh and qr matsuri.

I fixed up some more stuff and changed a few things. all minor stuff so sorry no pics.

Decided it was time to make the car look a bit more like my own.

    So this happened

    Really happy with it.

Qr was a blast. Loving the car and starting to get a hold of it.

I have Jap Nats in a few weeks at qr which will be epic. I've changed the hydro so its next to the gear stick with a 650mm handle. also got a new brass shifter bush set on the way. Also changing to 10k hids because I couldnt see shit at matsuri at night.

Here's some pics from Qr matsuri!

    Thanks for looking!

    Haha why not.

So I bought a 20v silvertop last night!

Going to rebuild it myself so that I have a spare forged motor ready to go if anything happens to this one.

    Cheers
