Tseries Drum - Removed drums and found 4 small spring seats an spring floating in drums each side?

Heya,
I have a T series form series 2 T18 that has been sitting around.
I pulled it down to get ready for install into KE70,
When I removed the drums, there was small spring with 4 seats laying in the bottom of the drums (did this both sides)
The springs for the shoes where there, in place, no foul.
The wheel cylinders were all intact, rubber boots attached.
I take it they are from the handbrake cable?
If so how should they go back in?

The end of the handbrake cable I dont think is detachable.

There are the two you mentioned that hold the shoes, then there's a long spring usually at the top and a short one at the bottom bestrewn the shoes to retract them, and that's it. They sound like spare shoe retainers that someone tossed in there so they wouldn't lose them?

Nah, diff was pulled from running car. Handbrake cable has crimped end, the spring fits over, the the retainers are notched. Looks like when tension was released from handbrake cable, they let go...I'll take picture and show you.
