Edited the posts with the info i know, nothing is permission to do anything but a very strong hint this is where you would want to pickup power from the ae86 loom from.

Been routing the room, have run it through the A/C port? Leaves me with heaps of wire within the car ! The actual loom will be sitting nice and snug up against the firewall.

I've cut the plug off the 4AC Alt loom, have been unable to find out which color represents what for 4AC so I can solder on the 4AGE one.
    4AC plug colors
    Blue with red dots
    Red with black dots
    White with black trace

The 4AC alt earth is short as so I'll be cutting the end off it and using the 4AGE big thick white wires too extend that section of wiring.

What? Isn't that what the wire is that runs to the back of the alt and you bolt down over the thread?

    Looks like good progress.

In the photo of the top of the motor I'd consider giving the wiring to the TPS, injectors, etc. a bit more slack. The motor moves aorund, and a tight cable is a pain, both for function and when working on the motor.

Started doing the alt wiring this morning, stripped back the 4AC body loom a bit to reach all the wires, the three "alt" wires I was talking about earlier actually run back to that external voltage regulator so i've gained some knowledge there. Removed those three wires and found the ACTUAL three that connect to the 4AGE alt plug, WHITE YELLOW & Black/Yellow as described in 1000 other threads.

They will be either male ended and connected directly to body end or soldered, whatever works best. As for the thick white power feed going to the ALT I discovered it also not only runs to the Positive terminal, the fuse box plug but also into the body loom. Any idea what it leads too?

I'm using this style Coil/ignitor, so what will happen with the 4ac original coil positive/earth as pictured.

The car itself, something that isn't so boring wiring related !

Should be close to starting now right?

as for male ending them, just soldier it in as the alternator loom remains in the car when you remove the motor

Getting closER. The AE82 fuel pump carrier showed up today so I can mod that and put my pump back in, then left with

    - finish alt & starter wiring
    - fuel pump wiring
    - buy 3rd ECU plug
    - spend another four weeks working out how to wire it
    - work out how to give power to everything

Then it must be just about ready to try turn over. I think
    so yeah, getting closer.
