Dan's AE86 Panda Trueno
Hey guys, my name is Daniel. I have been lurking around these forums for some time now and thought it was about time to contribute!
For just over a year now i have owned a AE86 Trueno GT Apex, Kouki. It was imported via a friend in Japan to here in Sydney. I checked the car all over when it came and found that the owner had kept it in great condition and almost completely stock (just a fujitsubo exhaust and watanabe rims). The car has had almost no rust repairs and the chassis is in great condition with 144,XXX KMS on the clock. No accidents and about 95% original paint. There is minor damage to the body, front and rear bumper but i have used touch up paint and other methods to make it look better.
I have spent a lot of time removing everything in the car and cleaning the whole car so that it will stay in good condition. This is my weekend/project car so as far as modifications go, i have been working from the ground up starting with suspension, wheels etc. I recently got a wheel alignment at Heasman Steering and Suspension and Doug there did a great job! The car feels great to drive and i have a TRD 1.5way LSD with a 4.773 final drive ready to go in, which should transform the car heaps compared to stock. I plan to do modifications to my engine later just have to sort out exactly what i want before i go ahead.
