    Default KE70 coilovers and brakes

hey im currently building a ke70 with ae86 front end and r31 diff,
i would like it set up for drift but will be my sunday driver and will do the occasional track day.

im looking for opinions on what coilovers to run aswell as front brakes and rotors.

has anyone used the bc coilovers? seem fairly well priced and decent value for money

i would like a decent brake setup as it will be slowing down a 500hp ke70.
    thanks heaps

If you are serious about 500hp, then I'd look at something other than AE86 struts. RA40 and XT130 have bigger stub axles and are easy to swap in, plus give a range of brake options.

    Popular brake options are:
    - RX7 4spot on custom adaptors. Usually 280-300mm rotors.
    - Hilux calipers on XT130 struts and some form of Peugeot rotor.
    - MX62 calipers on XT130 struts and RA60 hubs and rotors.
    - Maybe Hoppers Stoppers do something bolt on.

Plus any number of other custom setups.

But I'm keen to see your motor.

BC coilovers are stiff and I've found them to handle similar to a KYB / king spring setup when new. For not too much more you can get something allot better. AJPS coilovers are setup well and are much better value for money, but there are a better options depending on what you want to spend. A discussion a while back can be found

RX7 Brakes as mentioned are a great upgrade and great value for money. There is a willwood kit available which is awesome but somewhat of an overkill. Failing that, a new set of ventilated discs and a good set of project mu or similar pads will get it stopping better.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll look in to rx7 setup as a mate is also running them, as for the coilovers could I run xt130 stub axles on those coilovers?

You can buy a set of BC's that come with stub axles but for the $ amount go with AJPS or shockworks if you can stretch your budget further.

Thats cool except all the kits suit ae86 hubs, so you'll have to make your own brackets.

Swap to ae86 hubs and knuckles and you're sweet.

Hey Jayden. We do actually offer weld in kits as well. We have done several XT130 kits.
Feel free to message us on facebook or email me at
We have a second hand XT130 kit here with the twin pot sumitomo calipers and vented discs fitted. Cheers
