    Working for Netbank was the worst for me.

    On the phone talking to idiots.

    Customer: "You site doesnt work!!"
    Me: "Oh really sir, what web address do you have there?"
    Customer: "Netbank, YOUR ONE"
    Me: Ok sir there is no need to yell at me im here to help. Now tell me are you logged onto the internet and have a connection?"
    Customer: "Yes.. I think..I cant see much"
    Me: Why is that sir do you need you glasses?
    Customer: No the screen is black!
    Me: OK.... Is the computer turned on?
    Customer: NO.!! How do i do that.
    Me: Sigh...

    ^ I've worked in call centers for most of my working life and while I've read the hilarious e-mail that goes around full of stories just like that every couple of months I have to call BS on you. People just aren't that stupid. Also if you worked for net bank you wouldn't be troubleshooting thier computer, call centers are the land of the handball that'd be a referal to thier isp.

    Sorry have you worked at Netbank?

    And we do troubleshooting there we were actually basically trained on it.

    secondaly the dude was pretty old so i cant see whats so BS about. Our centre use to hear it atleast once a month.

    If you worked for netbank then maybe you could call BS but seeing as you havent and you just another 'proud to be working in a call centre know it all" i say have fun with your pointless job

    I maintain my position anyone who can't tell if thier computer is on or off does thier banking in person. Stupid people are easy in this buisness it's the unreasonable jerks you have to watch for.

    Also I wouldn't say proud, More content.

    worked as a support phone jocky at an ISP for a couple of years. People need to do a test before signing up I think, there are a lot of ppl that do not diserve the internet.

    Almost all of calls could have been fixed if they RTFM. Most of the people that called needed to be shot in the head. The number of people that cancelled there phone line that their internet used is astounding.
    me : you cancelled your phone line???(after 20 mins of trobleshooting)
    them : "we dont use the phone, just the internet, you have to fix my internet now! I'm loosing $80billion an hour"
    Me : 'so what does your modem plug into',
    Them : "the phone line....oh I see...can you fix it?
    Me : No, call telstra, click.

    DIE DIE DIE!!!

    sometimes so CBF and said "netbank is working fine for me, it must be Netbanks fault" call them!"

    ...so yeah, hated that job, plus all the "supervisors" are gay in the pants brown nosers.

    I'm calling your call of BS a Fail.

    Having worked on a helpdesk for most of my working life, one way or another with telephone support, I can guarantee you that there are people that stupid out there - I have seen and heard it myself. So many times that I vomit with laughter everytime I have a good think about it.

    Working loss prevention at bunnings was a Fail....

    Same with Coles, had to stand outside coles 5 nights a week for 10-12hrs a night. Was getting 1400pfn cash but that was the only good thing..

    Being held up with a sharp.
    Being yelled at by drug F&&ked pissed idiots wanting to know why i was there....

    everyone thinks they are entitled to free shit as well!!

    Alright I'll take my fail on the chin like a man (or porn star). I know there are stupid people out there beleive me, I just felt that story lacked some of the detail that makes the other jobs sound bad and the stories funny.

    Here's a quick one that I remember from when I was at a telco add a lady called back after activating a pre paid phone with another rep. She was 70 plus and called back cause she couldn't turn her phone on. Eventually worked out she hadn't charged it since she took it out of the box!

    Old people tend to be cute in a wierd way, rather than annoying. Unless they flat out have dimentia and don't listen.

    Could almost go a callcenter/helpdesk frustration thread on it's own, I don't really rate the jobs as that bad.
