W box speedo correction

Hello,

My W5x speedo reads high approx 10 percent. I've got 3.9 final drive ratio in my diff. I think if I'm reading high my speedo cogs probably suit the 3.7 ratio. Can anyone suggest the method to fix and where I might source the right drive gears or alternatively does anyone have a W box speedo drive that would suit 3.9:1 final drive?

Try sending golberg a pm, a while back he was selling different gears to fix this problem.

I think Wilbo on Toymods used to have an online gear ratio calculator that would spit out the most appropriate speedo drive gears and list the respective Toyota part numbers, but last I recall, the link died.

failing that you can get a clark brothers instruments (CBI) speedo corrector. Speedscreen is one of the aussie distributors but i cant remember how much it was.

I've just changed my diff gears and bought a different set of gears to go inside the corrector for 40 delivered.

That's actually really handy to know, cause my speedo is about to be 18% out once I get my 4.1 gears in.
