Car - Toyota AE71 Pano
motor / part in question - ITBS
problem - Actual Sizing
occurs/started when (if applicable)- Bought ITBS
personal situation (if applicable)- N/A
What size are AE111 ITBS
And what size are AE101
Been searching for the answer and come up with different answers.
I bought some ITBS, spose to be BT, but measure 47mm at the opening where stack bolts on
Says AE111 47mm, AE101 45mm
Says AE111 45mm, AE101 42mm....
then states
Silvertop ITB's measure 47mm at the opening where the velocity stacks bolt up.
Blacktop ITB's measure 49mm at the opening where the velocity stacks bolt up.
On the backside of the silvertop ITB's they are round.
On the backside of the blacktop ITB's they are an odd diamond shape.
Says AE101 45mm
Can someone who knows please help a wigga out.
Theres a great photo online comparing them all.
There are more distinctions than bt or st. Theres st early, st late and bt afaik. So within silvertop there are 2 slightly different variants from memory.
Theres a photo someplace online that compares the ports of all three.

Thanks for the info Matt.
I never even knew there were Silvertop early and late!
I was of the opinion that Silvertop ITBS were 48mm at opening where stack bolts on, and Blacktop were 50mm.
This was because TODA sold velocity stacks as 48's and 50's.
I would like to see the TB's pulled off the Manifold and measured up on all variants and referenced for all to see.

Those you have pictured are silvertop, likely gen 2.
The easiest way to tell from the front is the mounting bolts for the velocity stacks are 73mm center to center, but on the black they are 83mm.
As for the back the silvertop are round and the blacktop aren't.
