    Default Thermo fan help

    Hey guys

It's been a while since I've posted on these forums, I still come in here regularly however, and I also remember how smart everyone here is...

I'm about to replace the old, broken stock radiator with a new alloy radiator with thermo fan and shroud in my project car (1981 vc commodore 308)

It's a straight swap so installation will be the easy part

It's the connections on the thermo fan I'm not too sure on

The old radiator has a 9inch thermo fan attached which actually works well. It uses what looks like a Davies Craig thermo switch kit, I just need to know how to connect to it...

The new thermo has these connection points

If anyone knows how to connect these points to the switch or can offer any help at all, it would be appreciated

    Cheers guys
    Dan...

How was the other fan connected to the thermo switch?
You could just use bullet terminals (which is on your new fan) to connect to the thermo switch, just need to get the polarity correct otherwise it will spin the opposite way.
The black wire can be connected to a good ground

One goes to +ve, one to -ve. Reversing them will reverse the air flow through the fan. The switch will either earth or give power when the temp trips. Just get a multimeter to test it.
