Got some photos of the wheels I picked up and the prelude seats. Work Equip 01s 14x8.5 -19 offset

Hey lads, new to the forum after lurking for a long time.
This is my second AE86 after getting frustrated and giving up on my first build back in '09. I'll post a pic of what I had back then (maybe someone on this forum is enjoying it now) but first here are some pics of the Levin I picked up a couple of weeks ago.
Found this on gumtree and grabbed it for a decent price. It has had some rust cut out and a recent respray. In fairly tidy condition and running an 18R-G. Unusual conversion but I think it's something I will leave in the car for a while until more power is needed. Along with the 18R-G conversion the car also has Twin Dollerto 40mm carbs, 4-in-1 Extractors, Crow cams ignition powerbox, Stewart Wilkins top chain tensioner & seals and a Tarago axle/diff.
Resprayed gunmetal grey. The gloss black bars and little foggys will need to be stripped. I'm thinking Satin black or bumper black is a better option. The front bar seems a bit warped with some cracks but I have another in storage which should be a better base to work from.
Interior is mostly there. The dash has the usual cracks and the door cards have had some home re trimming. I've picked up any of the missing plastics/cards from Craig at JustJDM along with some other goodies and the car is currently sitting at the auto trimmers have a complete re trim. I picked up a pair of Honda '92 Prelude seats for the front. They were real comfortable and still have a fairly 80's look to them.
Engine bay shot. The bay has been resprayed in a TRD red and valve cover has had a gold flake treatment. I might bring this back to a Gunmetal finish in the future along with a set of trumpets for the Dollerto carbs. They sound great at the moment, hopefully trumpets can bring out a little more of a tune.
My plans for the car are to keep it tidy and streetable. Kouki headlights, kouki parkers, redline tail lights, coilovers, work wheels and a comfortable interior so the missus can stop calling it a sh*tbox! I'll make sure to keep this thread updated as progress is made. Thanks!
Here is a pic from the previous build I ended up caving on;

Saw this for sale and loved it. A reasonable price was asked too.
Nice one.
Thanks lads! The previous owner was a real gentleman and super genuine. He had done a lot of body work to it and like you said mate he really wasn't asking for much.
I had a bunch of parts arrive. Sat them all together and took a couple of photos. Car should be back on Thursday/Friday from the auto trimmers and I'll get stuck into fitting everything over the weekend.

Glimpse of how the interior is looking so far. There is a couple of little areas that aren't looking how I want but with a bit more work it should be mint.

Interior looks killer, great job
Absolutely beautiful mate, how much work was it to get the prelude seats in??
The rails needed only slight amount of modification
to make them work. The guy who does the mod plates said it was straight forward and passes easily. I was trying to chase some old Hilux seats but being a tall driver these were a much better option - they hug well around the sides and leave some room for movement in the shoulders.
The re trim needs a bit more work. The vinyl isn't as tight as I was hoping and the door cards aren't sitting how they should. Small amount of work left but it'll make all the difference in the end.
Have also decided to go with a full respray for the car. A nice black is what I'm really leaning towards.
Looks like it will be off the road for a while!
loving the interior man giving me ideas with my 86 .
