    Thanks mate! Here's a pic before the car goes into hiding for a while with some fab and body work. I will update as body work is being completed.

    Started to strip the car today getting it ready for the new paint.

    And my brother working on some hand made metal flares.

    Should be just like a factory guard only another 2 or so inches wider. Sitting flush with the wheels should look tidy.

    I actually found the original owners manual with purchase/delivery card in the car today from 1985. Along with a few stickers from the Toyota showroom. Pretty stoked with that!

    Bit of an update. Coilovers are in and it's sitting nicely. Front guards aren't touched yet but the rears are looking mint;

    Boot, bonnet, front and rear bumper prepped also. Front lip is done too but didn't get a pic

    did the new flares put a big dent in your rear quarter panel?

    No that was my mistake using the car to balance when I was picking something up

    Not much to update but the car is making some small progress. Roof, doors, bonnet, boot and front & rear bumper are prepped and straight. Both rear guards are now shaped and ready to start prepping along with the tail gate.

    Update time.

    The roof was in pretty bad knick with hail damage in the cars history but it has pulled up pretty nice. Flipped a coin and decided on Red over Black..

    Doors and bonnet got the treatment also..

    Got stuck into the front guards next. Some paint stripper to knock the lip & surrounding area back and onto the English wheel to start massaging..

    Pretty happy with clearance in the front and rear. Little bit of cleaning up and welding and it'll be ready for paint..

    Lined up the kouki lights / grille lights and bumper next so it all aligns with the extended front guards. Getting close, little bit more work and it should be nice..
