    - Header install - clean snug fit held itself in place.
    - Turn your rack 'N' pinion, check for binding/contact
    - No clearence issues here...........Hurray for the manufacturer!!! ( I was worried about this area specifically )

    Step 4:

Install the headstud lock nuts to fasten extractor securely to head. This is a 2-step process ( MOST people. OVERTIGHTEN HERE, DO NOT!! )- Beginning for the center bolt in clockwise pattern install lock nuts ( 5 - 3 - 1 - 2 - 4 ) to 9 ft. lbs ( 108in. lbs.)
    - Then repeat tightening pattern, this time bump the Torque up to 18 ft. lbs ( 216in. lbs )

    Step 4a:

Re-install any other components you may have removed and adjust to spec.

    Step 4b:

Showoff your install pics & clearence. ( excuse the jnky look =( )

    Step 5:

Crack open that drink and relax to the smooth sounds of an open header....LOL put your exhaust back on.

so work was slow the day before yesterday and while sitting around waiting for jobs, the mod bug bit me.

So with ideas & dreams flashing through my mind I strolled to my hachi, reversed it into my stall & got to work.

I first removed the rear fascia......getting ready to install????????? hehe

I think the line seen here powers my inline pump............ Here I was sad to find mild cancer

after removing the panels I found heeps of dirt, dust, MUD!! DAMN IT.

Disgusted by what I saw, I whipped out my supplies and got busy. It's just my daily beater but dirt, filth, and down right sloppiness is not how I like to roll. The previous owner probably didnt give a two about this car! which bites.

    6 terry cloth towels
2 wire brushes ( toothbrush sized)
    1 bottle industrial degreaser
1 can of factory brake cleaner
    Infinte amount of elbow grease

so 1 tetanus shot & a few hours later, I was satisfied w/ the results, which I will improve over the next few days god willing.

here's some updates.....nothing special, just documenting things I do.

I layed down some primer in the trunk after I got it all cleaned up.....soon comes the base coat. ( color undecided yet)

Also I scored a very nice GTS passenger seat $50 bucks, or $90 for both, gonna pick up the driver side soon. It's in better shape, but has a small 3" tear in the inner bolster. Anything beats my gay MR2 seats

Earned some steel braided lines for aligning my buddies s14!
( 7pcs?????? can anyone help me out here>>>>>>>)

Hey Guys, I finally decided on an interior color, just a simple base gray.

So I decided to lay down 2 light coats & 1 medium in the trunk area.

When I reached the spare tire area, I sprayed 1/2 way down. I had decided to spray some bedliner where the tire would sit, to aide wear and tear ....... So I hand masked the circle and dropped an even layer of bedliner.

in this img. I prepped to blend the liner w/ the gray and cover up the overspray

the results I didn't fancy too much....it was my pet peeve over the course of my day.

So I ended up spraying the liner gray as well. i still need to lay down more coats to get the gloss effect.

Also as some of you may know I've been side-lined due to a broken exh. sys. Well i'm gearing up to get that fixed monday. To avoid problems later w/ the muffler burning the bumper I went ahead and installed the Zenki rear while we R & D the exh.

the bumper req'd minor mods. the hole closest to the tail lamp must be elongated from the tip of the "0" upward on both L & R sides.

New 17mm 12mmx1.25 bolts will be needed for the jdm brackets.

also thread/ re-tap the bolt holes if you see rust or foreign derbis in the thread holes of your brackets.

since my tail lamps leaked & I'm a little tight with $$ I decided to make my own gasket, to seal the body where it meets the lamp from allowing water intrusion. This will hold me over until I can find those minty sprinter tails.

I went to HDpt. and picked up this stuff. I just cut strips in the specific length as needed, until I made it all the way around the lamp. (small portions overlapped to properly seal)
