    Default Front Reinforcement Bar.

Just picked up an Ae86 as a project street car, has had some questionable work done that I'll be reverting.

The biggest one I've noticed is the lack of front reo bar. It's got what looks like to be two parts bolted on at each chassis rail but no middle which from some google searches seems to be how they were made. Almost just bumper supports not even a reinforcement bar.

(It has a flat steel 90 degree bar on it that's been added for what seems to be a support for the origin bumper between these two supports)

Any one with a stock front end able to confirm this? As I I'm sure my MVR will have a go at me about it.

Yeah the bumper brackets are all of about 20cm in size. It doesn't have the bar across the front like the later model cars have

Cheers man. I can tell I'm going to have problems with rego with how stupid they are and will 100% not believe me but oh well

Must just be the bar that's been walked to support the bumper than makes it look so dodgy.

I think USDM cars had some more substantial bumpers but still no reo.
