Default Fuel pump always running after ignition off

So I just bought a 1985 Corolla GTS today and when I got home, i noticed that I could still hear the fuel pump even after I take the keys out. I think it's the wiring but I'm a complete noob at wiring. Any ideas how I should go about it? Just point me in a somewhat specific direction if you can. Thanks.

Also, was told that it is running a supra fuel pump

If the engine is off and the fuel pump still runs then something has been setup badly. From factory the fuel pump is run by a circuit opening relay (COR) that powers it when starting and when the engine is running. This means if you crash then it won't keep pumping fuel into the wreck.

There are a few possibilities for wiring the pump:
    - Use a COR like factory.
    - Use two normal relays in parallel.
    - If it runs an aftermarket ECU use the ECU output.
    - Run a tachometric relay. VK Commodores run them, or apparently they are used in gas conversions too.
