Default Fuse by battery terminal questions

I have two fuses 30 amp and 40 amp right next to the battery terminal (fusible link box). They were a bit corroded so i replaced them. My question is, are there supposed to be 4 wires to connect to the fuse prongs? I only have two fuse, a left one, no middle, and a right one.
What are the fuses for? Do i need a fuse for the middle?

Also, the left fuse, towards passenger side has a wire connecting to the front side (10mm bolt) but no wire on the back side (8mm bolt). The right amp has wire on both front and back prongs (10mm and 8mm bolt).

idk if those fuses have anything to do but I tried starting the car today but it felt like the battery was drained (brand new recent battery). Tried jumping the car and it did crank for a second but then power shuts off afterwards so im thinking the alternator probably didnt work and battery got drained when i bought it and drove it home? hopefully problem is just those fuse wiring.

P.s. the car did run and drive normally and then next day it just doesn't start.

Picture of battery positive terminal fuses, fusible link box, i believe am2 and am1:

The AM1, and AM2 fuses you speak of power things within the car, not protect the alternator itself.
