Lightbulb BEAMS ae88 hatch rear end help?

So I've heard that stock 86s have pretty weak rear ends and people tend to swap them, especially if building a drift car. I wanted to see what rear end conversions everyone would recommend? best types of 2-way lsds, axle kits?

The Toyota MA46 axle used in the light pickups and vans is a good option. But only the 2WD Van will have a 4-lug mounting while the others will be 5- or 6-wheel lugs. They are all within a few millimeters in width relative to the stock AE86 axle. The 2WD toaster van axle will also have the same wheel lug pattern as the front of your AE86. davew7
