Default in need of some information

hey guys im after normal compression of a 4age engine what its meant to be completely stock.

the car tries to crank but wont start up and i already tested for ignitor and dizzy cap , coil, leads, and ecu all getting power tested with circuit test light.

im not so sure what it is but i think its nothing to do with electrical and im thinkign worse case scenario atm and thinking my piston rings are fried so if any can help me out with this info asap would be most appreciated.

    thanks justin

    Big port, 179psi at 250rpms.

    Fuel, spark, compression.

Crank it over a few times, take spark plugs out does it smell of fuel?

Take out a spark plug, connect it to a lead as if it's installed, leave it hanging on the head somewhere, crank it over, is there spark?

    Compression.. just use a tester.

no spark at all done everything possible that why i think it may be piston rings having no compression and yes it does smell like fuel is flooded really strongly.

also i have a couple engines if you need a new bottom end, but how good they are i couldn't say, i hope for your sake your not going to do another engine build, cause i kinda need some weekends for my car

im yet to come across an engine that wont fire becuase of piston rings though.

my compression was down to like 80 psi in a few cylinders (blown head gasket) and i got it to start and run. not very well but it did start.

if you are not getting spark then that is why its not firing...

how exactly have you tested your coil/ignitor/rotor cap etc?
