    Default Ignitor Wiring Identification

    hey all i need help

was sold a coil and ignitor, apparently for my smallport.

problem is - were having troubles identifying exactly what the 4 wires correspond to... we have every single wiring diagram and pin out diagram the internet can host in several hours of foruming and googling!

apparently smallport ignitors arent supposed to have 4 wires either... apparently? do i have a camry ignitor or something? or should i stop listening to my mates who say my shit is wrong?

    can anyone confirm this?

    HELP!

If you tell me the Toyota part number on the igniter, I can tell you what it's ment to be off.

Also, what shape is the plug, and what colour are the wires?

My small port ignitor has five wires coming out of it 2 I believe go straight to the ECU, one goes to the negative side of the coil, one goes to the key switch "ON" position, and the other one I can't remember where that goes but it does connect to the "IG" pin on the check connector. This is an ADM AE92 Small port BTW the JDM could be different.

Here is a photo of the Ignitor Itself

Numbers on Ignitor are: 89621-12010 and 131300-1231

And Here is a Photo of the Wires.

If you look on the back of the black molding on the igniter, each pin is named.

Should be C, Ext, B, F and I next to each pin.

C is coil negative, Ext is tacho output, B is ign 12V F is IGF to the ECU and I is IGT to the ECU.

From the number, that is the correct igniter for a AE92 with 4A-GE. "JDM" and "ADM" makes no differrence for this part. The same igniter is used on other vehicles, including the 1UZ-FE V8.

I dont have a part number for my ignitor, the sticker/label appears to have been smudged or worn away? all i can give you is another number writen on there, down the bottom, and in large print "532" and underneath the ignitor, on the ignitor itself, an ink stamp near the wires read "10H 17K" ... hope this helps.... and ive established from part numbers already that the COIL attached to my ignitor is a bigport item PN 90919-02113...

Also johnny, or anyone, ive rung toyota and my ECU did not come up on their system? the Number is 896611-2570... is this import? Or superceeded? or other? one bloke i spoke to said there was a superceeded part number for the AE82 ECU (8962012300-> 8962030210) but the second bloke i spoke to had no idea why my number wasnt on their system and did not know of any superceeded ECU numbers, like i had been told previously.

    any words up?
    thanks heaps guys

With a lot of this stuff, there are 2 part numbers. The NipponDenso part number, and the Toyota part number. If you ring a Toyota dealership, they can only make sense of the Toyota part number, which is 10 digits. To make sense of the Denso number, you have to talk to a auto electrician.

The Toyota part number is 10 digits like this:
