i believe there is differences in th harness, obviously with the air flow to map, but I am not sure about anything else.
why not just freshen up yours?
have a st 20v
thinking of swapping it for a bt 20v
is there any tricky stuff that needs doing?
or should all the parts just line up? i.e water system, fuel and wiring harness?

easier to swap motors than to pull mine out, change things get parts once you know what needs replacing, then installing parts, put motor back....
swapping should be a weekend event
i have EMS engine management.... does that change the way you install bt20v and st20v
I personally haven't worked with 20v's but from what I understand everything you have on your ST should bolt to the BT. I do believe LittleRedSpirit swapped out his BT for an ST pretty easily.
Having already got an aftermarket ECU it should be a breeze too.
i reckon freshen up the st dave your still going to be in the same boat if the blacktop hasnt had a rebuild since factory
yeah
just thought it would be eaiser to do an engine swap (cause the hachi is a daily) than trying to change piston rings and shit.
ill sell my st20v as is, and yeah someone else can do it before it goes in their car....
it still runs ok, just needs piston rings and valve stem seals.
we will see whats what after the rx7 upgrade
still hunting a r32 brake master....... dont want to pay 500 for a new one from factory if i can avoid it
prolly not worth the effort..
best option would be to freshen up the ae101 and maybe throw some cams in it..
paint the covers black if its so important that u have a blacktop lol

So are you getting the BT rebuilt before you put it in?
wasnt going to.
which does potentially pose a problem.
i should just fix up what i have got.....
new HG, rings, seals and a retune.
