They probably cost $1500 max second hand. I wonder what a new set would cost. Also considering how old they are, I wonder how much they're strayed from factory measurements/specs....

Try having to buy 17" rims.... Even the used jap ones are over 2.5K for a set. Alternatively you can get rotas for about a grand brand new.

I like it how people just pop out of nowhere with no actual contribution to the discussion and douche it up. I run cheaper wheels. I've had plenty of more expensive japanese wheels. = experience in topic. = opposite of keyboard warrior.

As far as i can see the peoples opinions that should count (the people that actually use these particular wheels) are being ignored in favour of people that are really nothing but brand whores and arselickers (konakid).

I also have to wonder if the fact that most of the damaged wheels seem to have a shitload of +offset and i wonder if this may have a bearing on the problem of broken rims, so i think i`ll stick to my 15" simmons 3 piece rims with a decent amount of dish, fuck i get a horn just looking at them and as far as i know they are quality Australian made wheels.

Back on topic the rota isn`t such a bad looking wheel and the fact there are a couple of top drifters using them without dramas, well i think that speaks volumes.

Are you blind or just stupid? Did you read what I said? I currently run Rota style rims. Not Rotas exactly, but the same sort of thing. I'm sticking up for them, and I'm not putting down Jap rims either. I was actually contributing to the discussion, your first post in this thread was just taking shots at people out of context.

Sorry mate my bad, just got a bit carried away, and there is nothing wrong with some brands of cheap wheels.

Modifying cars with quality products is not cheap. Either you get used to it and save more to buy the quality parts or you skimp and make do with lesser quality/performance/piece of mind to save some money.
