    really a very vague question

    mr2 or ST185/205

if going coilover i wouldn't run a spacer under either, i'd get the strut shortened.

if running conventional springs, actually i still wouldn't space them up, you can space them down using a certain piece out of a wet leg strut (stock 86 strut thats never had inserts) that will act as a (roughly) 40mm spacer which helps

quoting what shock you want to use will make the answer a lot easier/specific

if you use the st185 im pretty sure they are 70mm shorter,
    i shortened the strut 50mm then used a 20mm spacer before i went s13.

dont run a spacer, not needed. theyre the same body length as youre trds (ae92 based) insert. but the longer stroke means you can get away with using them without a spacer.

i never use a spacer in any of the coilovers i build for people, and no ones every complained their cars too low.

AE86 will be interesting to hear your opinion after putting the AGX's in and making a comparison to the TRD yellows. I have used TRD yellows before and quite liked them but have never had AGX's.

I recently fitted KYB Climbgears to my AE111 and they have lots of compression and rebound dampening, quite suprised actually.
