    REGISTER OR SIGN IN
    hi guys.

    i need to get some advise on a service.
    i have a turbo 4age motor and need to change the oil and oil filter in it.
    what oil and oil filter should i look at getting for this application???? any suggestions???

    I'd go with the stock toyota oil filter and a fully synthetic oil, if you can afford it. As for the oil weight, the reccomended 4agze oil should do fine.

    I would actually use a thinner fully synthetic oil around 10w-35 or you have the chance of blowing your turbo seals.
    As vezza said use the stock filter

    no one said anything about running 20w50 here... 10w40 or 15w40 is fine
    serious compitition cars run 5w50 or 10w60

    i dont see how u should blow turbo seals with oil.. unless u use Penrite 80 or wateva the heck it is.. but thats pretty much honey

    if you want to keep your turbo i wouldnt run any higher then 15w 50-60.. turbo's life is critical with it comes to oil supply and water feed
