Oil pressure light problem is because you are using a pressure sender rather than a pressure switch. AE86 have an oil pressure gauge remember
Solution:
Get the oil light switch off the old engine (pretty sure it fits), from an AE71, or an ae82 twincam. AE92/3 have the gauge from memory.

Thanks heap mate for letting me know that! I went to the wreckers today and got a pressure switch from an AE82 4AC for $5, so hopefully in the next couple of days I can get the 2 swapped over and see if my oil light is normal

Speedo cable sorted! (Although It is waaaay out thanks to different wheels and diff ratio )
And, I just took it for a spin around the block Love it already! Didn't really give it any stick as I am still just making sure everything feels okay with it, but the power delivery is so smooth. Way more torque than the old 5K had
Hopefully tomorrow I can have a proper drive of it

Next thing on the to do list is to upgrade my rear sway bar, only I have no idea which one I need as I have a KE70 with T series. If anyone could be as kind as to shed some light on this, that would be muchly appreciated. Also, I am going to get a new exhaust made for this sometime soon as the one on there at the moment is a hack job and sits low as! I think lowest point is about 50mm off the ground. Needless to say, not very practical on a car that is my daily
And other than that, the plan is to enter for the Vicdrift day at Winton on the 18th of June. Should be great to get onto the track!
LOL i used to have a kesev in wagga wagga the same colour as this car only mine was done with spray cans. Shame i dont live down there anymore , You coulda helped with my transplant too.

get one off an older celica they're a bit bigger than ke70.
What'd you do with speedo issue? just cable?
