I dont think i will go dry sump josh, however i am looking at an accusump for a bit off safety.
Thats a torque plate Matt, its used to mimic the force of the cylinder head clamping to the block while its bored/honed,
some engine blocks actually twist or warp a little bit when the head is bolted on, so to ensure the bores are perfectly aligned even when the head
is put on later, the torque plate has it covered.
A bit of progress on the weekend,
Started working on the Corona diff
Stripped the diff down and removed all the corona brackets, still more grinding to do before
its ready to receive the corolla mounts
Pulled the Altezza housing apart and put the 4.56 gears and cusco LSD into the corona housing.
Wes at viking automotive is setting the diff up for me with a solid pinion spacer.
shouldnt be too long before i can start working out caliper brackets for it.
